In sports clubs affiliated by primary schools and sports societies for students of secondary schools, young people can pursue their interest in sports playing football, swimming and learning karate. The major football club in the region is Sparta Szamotuły, but football teams also exist at Country Sports Teams in Pamiątkowo (Relaks), Gałowo (Kłos), Baborówko (Albion) and Otorowo (LZS). The Szamotuły region offers numerous attractions for tourists. Many tourist events, such as rallies, are organised by the Szamotuły branch of PTTK (the Polish Tourism and Country Sightseeing Association), where cycling clubs also operate.
